New York with you (Our trips abroad #4)
We’re back after a week off! Lots of posts to come because we saw different things as my family came to visit. Before you get these, here is a post about our 4th trip abroad…
…NEW YORK! I’ve alway been a big fan of the United States and I really wanted to go to New York. For Niko it was his first time in the US: a big moment! We had found cheap flight in a small travel agent near our house and we did not have any accomodation fees as the father of a friend’s friend was letting us all stay at his house (his daughter, our friend, Niko & me). Their house was in Blue Point, 1h30 in train from New York. The house was really gorgeous, typically american and located in the front of the Patchogue Bay. We had a stunning view and the environment was very peaceful. Perfect for holidays!!
We stayed nine days and we went to New York city four different days. We tried to visit as much as we could (our timetable was very busy as usual when we go somewhere on holidays!) but it’s such a big city that you’d need more time! In short we’ve seen: Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan, Wall Street, Chinatown/Little Italy, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, 5th Avenue, Times Square, Brooklyn, Soho, NY Library, Grand Central Terminal, Empire State Building, Central Park, The Met, Broadway…
During our stay there, we also went to a music festival called Bamboozle to see our favorite band (Good Charlotte) as well as lots more. It was really awesome! The other super cool thing we did was to see the Green Day musical “American Idiot” in Broadway. That was a unique experience!! If you go to New York, we highly advise you to see a musical!
Enough talking, here are some of our pictures.
What about you? Have you been to New York before? Let us know in the comments!
