A few days in El Bruc and Montserrat with Katie
Katie came -from London- to spend a few fews with us, 2 weeks ago and it was awesome! What a pleasure to see you again Katie 🙂
During this week spent with us, Katie and I walked a bit -actually a lot– as you can see in the photos below. So we went by foot to El Bruc on Wednesday (160m lower than where we live), and spent the whole Thursday walking. Why the whole day? Because we decided the day before to go hiking to the Monestir de Montserrat! A real hiking actually taking (we thought) 7H return (with a break there), which actually took us 9 hours to complete (with 1 hour break)!
Despite my setbacks (thank you and sorry once again for your gloves K 😀 ), it was a beautiful hike during which we had -amongst other things- the privilege to witness a beautiful rising fog, a dragon’s head and 817 stairs.
Oh and because I
decided not to forgot to bring my camera I was able to test Chase Jarvis’s saying “The Best Camera Is The One That’s With You”, my Nexus 5 in this case, so sorry if the photos’ quality is not as good as usual.
Enjoy these photos as our feet still remember the hike 😀
